Culinary Wellness

I offer a full range of Culinary Wellness services to meet the individual needs of my clients. Together we will create a personalized program that will radically improve your health and happiness. We will explore concerns specific to you and your body and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance. Services range from pantry purges and cooking instruction to a complete 6 month Comprehensive Culinary Wellness Program. Following are some of the ways we can work together to help you achieve your goals:

The Comprehensive Culinary Wellness Program

In this three-six month program we will:

  • Set and accomplish goals for long-term wellness.
  • Explore new foods and learn how to cook/prepare healthy meals quickly and confidently.
  • Learn how to eat in a way that is nutritionally rich without deprivation.
  • Understand and reduce cravings and/or binge eating and learn how to undo these behaviors that undermine your success and sense of wellbeing.
  • Understand food allergies and common irritants and create a diet that best suits the biodiversity of your body.
  • Increase energy without stimulants.
  • Lose weight naturally and safely and find a comfortable body weight to help you feel better in your body.
  • Learn how to use whole foods, herbs, and natural remedies to heal the body.
  • Improve digestion.
  • Have full support and encouragement every step of the way!

The Comprehensive Culinary Wellness Program includes…

  • Weekly 30-45 minute sessions (phone or in person).
  • Unlimited email support between sessions. Consider me at your disposal for questions, concerns, and support.
  • Customized meal plans specific to your goals and needs. Are you planning to do a detox? Has your doctor prescribed a specific diet for you? Are you giving up guten or sugar? I’ll advise you on the process, organize your meals or drinks, and help you to implement the changes.
  • Handouts, recipes, digital articles and references, and other materials customized to your current and long-term needs.
  • Restaurant Intervention to help you eat out during our program without sabotaging your efforts. Give me 48 hours notice of your outing and I’ll research their menu, and speak with management/chef if necessary, to find out what options they have to fit your needs. Obviously some restaurants are better choices than others, and in some cases an alternative restaurant location may need to be suggested.
  • Pantry and Refrigerator Purge. This is a critical first step. If it’s not in your house you won’t eat it, so out with the artificial and chemicalized, and in with the good!
  • Clean Up Your Act! Have some favorite dishes that you can’t live without but worry that they aren’t supporting good health? Learning to live with new dietary restrictions? Let me remake your favorite recipes to suit your new lifestyle.

Six months is the ideal length of time to practice life-long wellness habits. The minimum time required to start making new habits is 3 months. Achieving wellness is a process requiring practice and like any habit it takes time and commitment. I require a minimum 3-month commitment to insure your success.

Meal Preparation and Delivery (within Fort Worth only):Let me do the cooking for you. I’ll prepare meals to delight your palate and to support your specific health and dietary needs and deliver them to your home with clearly labeled reheating instructions. Priced per program. 

Catering: From cocktail party hors d’oeuvres to a fabulous multi-course sit down dinner. Priced per event.

Grocery Lists, Shopping, Delivery and Unpacking:  Let me do the shopping for you. Stores: Central Market, Costco, Tom Thumb, Sunflower Shoppe, Sprouts, Whole Foods.

Clean Up Your Act! Have some favorite dishes that you can’t live without but worry that they aren’t supporting good health? Learning to live with new dietary restrictions? Let me remake your favorite recipes to suit your new lifestyle. Included in the 3 or 6-month program where appropriate.

Going Gluten Free: Embarking on a gluten free diet and don’t know where to start? I’ll teach you the basics about gluten and give you reference materials of foods to avoid, brands to look for when shopping, label-reading tips, and recipes to try at home. Two 30-minute phone support sessions are included, along with unlimited email support. Included in the 3 or 6-month program where appropriate. Private gluten free cooking and baking classes are also available.

Private and Small Group Instruction: Learn to cook simple, healthful meals in the comfort of your own home.

Restaurant Consultation: For restaurant owners and chefs who desire to add special ditary needs items to their menus. I can create individual items or entire menus around a dietary need, gluten free for example, taking the item from concept through testing to final recipe write up.

Guest Speaking: I can be booked for guest speaking, workshops, and cooking classes for your office, school or group.
